In the new headquarters of OBJECT CARPET the future has already begun
State-of-the-art architecture, focused on sustainability and networking – with this, OBJECT CARPET opens up new dimensions to office work: for employees and cooperation partners.
Even after more than 45 years the carpet specialist OBJECT CARPET focuses on innovation, not only when it comes to textile floor coverings. The best proof of this is the new company headquarters “OBJECT CAMPUS – City of Vision” in Denkendorf near Stuttgart: impressive architecture with light-absorbing aluminum-glass facade, five floors and an ambitious interior, realized by the architectural office Hank + Hirth. Openness, high design and quality standards and cooperation with visionary architecture and design offices is the recipe for success that has earned the company a top position among international carpet manufacturers. Because OBJECT CARPET transforms visions into reality.
Already the name “CAMPUS” says that everything here revolves around interdisciplinary exchange. As always, OBJECT CARPET focuses on design, sustainability, health and quality. The result: a state-of-the-art office building that not only radiates dynamism, but also sets the tone in terms of open space and new work. “Our company headquarters is intended to be a place where experts and companies can exchange ideas and where knowledge is imparted – an open house with showroom, academy, flexible working spaces and meeting places. And the centerpiece is a restaurant in conjunction with a coworking café,” explains Managing Director Daniel Butz. As a forum for great ideas, OBJECT CAMPUS offers countless and, above all, flexible usage options, thus turning users into active designers. For example, the academy’s premises can also be booked by non-company companies for further training purposes, workshops or press conferences and offer modern equipment of the highest standard. In addition, two further buildings will help the concept to grow into a “City of Visions” in the future.
Only a few classic individual offices and meeting rooms can be found under the ceilings, which are up to 3.20 m high; instead, there are open space and New Work workplaces, communication and retreat areas. Corridors are designed as open areas and give employees, screened by large green plants and on alcove sofas, the opportunity to talk or take a short break. The communication spaces are designed according to themed worlds such as “Jungle” or “Aquarium”. Designed in inspiring yet clear blue tones, this area can be used for presentations, breaks, mobile working and networking. “Communication and collaboration are at the heart of office design. And since working methods and space requirements are constantly changing, they should adapt to the respective requirements and thus form an office wellness landscape.” For the guests of the house the restaurant “La Visione” guarantees an ambience according to the ideas of the renowned architect Peter Ippolito. With OBJECT CARPET floor coverings and wall collages from tablecloths, aprons and kitchen utensils he interprets the comfortable liveliness of Italian trattorias in a new way.
Of course, sound-absorbing and dust-binding carpets from OBJECT CARPET ensure a healthy indoor climate throughout the building. The entire building is designed to be sustainable and almost energy self-sufficient.
