DOMICO
Energy Roof
With an energy roof, you can
use your roof surface as a sustainable source of electricity.
As a family-owned company, we place great importance on sustainability and quality. With over 40 years of experience and close partnerships with architects and craftsmen, our products reflect these values.
We also rely on sustainable energy in our own buildings, saving a total of 100,000 kg of CO2.

The GBS or Domitec roof is the ideal solution for upgrading to an energy-generating roof. The system-compatible mounting structure stands out with its advanced technology and can be color-matched to the roof cladding. To reduce wind pressure, it is closed on the backside with a wind deflector. Depending on project requirements, the mounting structure is produced in various heights. There are no standardized sizes—each structure is custom-made for the specific project.
The mounting structure consists of several components. Builders can once again rely on the proven high degree of prefabrication at the factory—this ensures particularly fast installation on-site, as all holes for fastening screws in the support profile and clamping plate are pre-punched. Thanks to flexible fastening with solar clamps, the modules can be arranged vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. This method ensures optimal load distribution of the entire mounting structure into the roof cladding. Additionally, no weak points are created in terms of waterproofing, since the metal roof is not penetrated.
Retrofitting collector structures is also possible after a structural or constructional assessment of the roof system.

Photovoltaics is used worldwide for electricity generation. Systems of various sizes can be found, for example, on roofs and façades, parking meters, noise barriers, calculators, or open fields.
Since 1995, the global photovoltaic market has grown by an average of more than 30% per year. In 2010, PV systems with a total capacity of 16.6 million kilowatts were installed worldwide. In Upper Austria alone, over 3,000 systems with a combined capacity of 17,500 kilowatts are currently connected to the grid.

A photovoltaic system sized between 6 and 10 m² can generate a maximum electrical output of about 1,000 watts and is therefore referred to as a 1 kWp system (kWp = kilowatt peak). In Austria, 1 kWp of installed capacity produces an energy yield of approximately 900 to 1,100 kWh per year, depending on the location.

DOMICO Energy-Roof Vöcklamarkt
In June 2018, our Plant 2, the roof production facility, was upgraded with a 49.2 kWp photovoltaic system. The first PV system at the Vöcklamarkt site is designed to cover peak loads and is therefore smaller in size compared to the system at our Pötting location. This ensures that our new office building and summer production peaks are always well covered.
