For more than 13 years Trauner stood at the head of the Upper Austrian business representation. A dynamic time in which the economy developed impressively. “Success can only be achieved together. I would therefore like to thank all our companions and all the parliamentary groups in the Economic Parliament,” said Rudolf Trauner. “Of course, we saw things differently. But one thing has always been of common concern to us: To promote the economy in Upper Austria and to keep it competitive”.

Guidelines for the future

As the new president of the WKOÖ, our managing director Doris Hummer has clearly defined the guidelines for the future: “It is my goal that the WKO Oberösterreich takes on a pioneering role. We want to be the emotional and professional home of all those who think and act entrepreneurially. For this we also need an internal reform with leaner and more efficient organisational structures, a bundling of services across the provinces, new offers and products that are consistently geared to the benefits for members”.

The new Presidium is setting the first strong signals with the initiation of the Upper Austrian location partnership, to which all of the country’s key players are invited in order to optimally position Upper Austria as a business location. In the WKOÖ itself, a location fund has also been set up so that important projects (e.g. Dual Academy for Digital and Social Competence, Entrepreneur Protection Package, Opening the House at Hessenplatz for Innovation, Networking and Information) can be implemented quickly and efficiently.
